PhD Position in Marseille to begin in September 2024 at Institut Fresnel – Centrale Méditerranée in the framework of the European project ARTEMIS, centered around one and two photon statistics and fluorometry.
We are looking for a skillful and highly motivated PhD student who, ideally, has expertise in experimental optics and theoretical knowledge of quantum optics
Fixed-term contract until September 15th, 2027 with 50% financement by Artemis project H2020, and 50 % by Centrale Méditerranée (ECM).
Starting date 15/09/2024 but flexibility from 01/09 up to 30/09.
The candidate is expected to
– have expertise in experimental optics or show a strong willingness to learn to perform optical experiments (realizing optical measurements) ;
– acquire expertise in quantum optics and fluorescence metrology ;
– be highly motivated by conducting an international collaborative research project with a multidisciplinary team of experimentalists and theoreticians ;
– be autonomous & organized ; be responsible & take initiatives ; be a dynamic team player ; be able to communicate clearly research results ;
– have good communications skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
