Mosaic is an interdisciplinary research group aiming at unravelling life science problems using advanced photonic tools.
Mosaic principal investigators are physicists and biologists working together at the cross roads between advanced optical imaging, nanophotonics and tissue morphogenesis.
The Mosaic group is involved in collaborative projects related to the fields of developmental biology, immunology, neurosciences and biomedical research.
Optical microscopy techniques developped by the Mosaic group:
– Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS)
– Fluorescence lifetime spectroscopy (FLIM)
– Polarization resolved 1 and 2-photon confocal microscopy
– Polarization resolved superresolution microscopy (STORM)
– Quantitative phase imaging (QPI)
– Coherent Raman (CARS / SRS) microscopy, spectroscopy and endoscopy
– 2-Photon, SHG, THG microscopy and endoscopy
– Spontaneous Raman spectroscopy and imaging
Biological problems addressed by Mosaic
– The interplay between the dynamic organization of cytoskeletal filaments and cell shape changes
– The reciprocal links between tissue growth, morphogenesis and tissue mechanics
