Institut Fresnel Open Days on October 3 and 4, 2025
Visits our experimental rooms, Observe & Discuss with our researchers
Every year, Institut Fresnel’s research teams take part in the Fête de la Science, « Science dans les Classes » operation, and many other scientific outreach events.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Lab, we’re opening the doors to school children and to the general public, so that everyone can gain a better understanding of researchers’ day-to-day work, and enjoy an unforgettable experience!
Find out how research projects are developed, set up are performed, results are interpreted, and what the medium- and long-term prospects are for our work.
Ask all the questions you want, discuss the challenges that lie ahead, and take part in these encounters with professors and researchers working on fundamental research or on consumer, medical, industrial or even military applications
Our scientific fields revolve around 4 themes :
– Electromagnetic modeling (theoretical, numerical, experimental, asymptotic models and applications)
– Nanophotonics and components (optical and radio frequency antennas, optical thin films, laser-matter interaction, theoretical models & applications)
– Information processing (remote sensing, optical communications, disordered media…)
– Imaging (digital approaches, instrumentation, biology, medical imaging)
If you’d like to join us for this experience, please send an e-mail to communication@fresnel.fr
The list of experiments / manipulator rooms open to visitors will be published here soon!
