I was graduated from the University of Provence in 2001. I carried out my PhD thesis from 2001 to 2004 on the electromagnetic modeling of photonic nanostructures under the supervision of M. Nevière and E. Popov. I got a post-doctoral fellowship at the CEA CESTA to work on the development of diffraction gratings used as pulse compressors in high intensity laser chains.

In 2006, I got a permanent research position at the french CNRS to work at the Fresnel Institute. I am now at the head of the Clarte group that hosts 9 permanent people working in the field of metamaterials, diffraction gratings and light scattering, nanophotonics and quantum nano-optics. The CLARTE group is currently hosting 2 european projects : the H2020 MSCA SMART LANLIGHT and the FET Open project M-CUBE.

My research activities focus on nanophotonics, diffractive optics, nano-optics and I am particularly interested in resonant nanophotonics on dielectric materials. I am co-author of more than 100 publications in international peer reviewed journals (ORCID ID and Researcher ID).

I am deputy editor for Optics Express (Optical Society of America), OSA Senior Member, member of the editorial board of the french journal Photoniques.

I initiated the organization of 4 thematic schools on plasmonics SSOP in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2017 which gathered more than 400 people. I managed several scientific projects in nanosciences and nanophotonics, in particular a CNRS project PEPS (2007-2009), an ANR project (2011-2015), a Carnot project (2012-2013), a Rising Star grant in (2013-2016). I am currently the coordinator of the Marie-Curie project (2016-2018) led by J. Berthelot at the Fresnel Institute and coordinator of a SATT pre-maturation project.
