We offer a technological platform dedicated to provide innovative optical solutions to researchers mostly working in the field of life sciences

Contact: Hervé Rigneault

Available techniques: (Summary sheet here)

o Quantitative phase microscopy (Spec. sheet and images)

o Polarization-resolved microscopy

o Correlation Fluorescence Spectroscopy

o Coherent Raman (CARS / SRS) microscopy

o Nonlinear (2photon, SHG, THG) microscopy

These instruments are coupled to a L2 laboratory for the
manipulation of biological samples and mammalian cell culture.

Examples of application:

Dry mass / Optical retardance / Refractive index or optical thickness distribution
Orientation of C-H bonds in mouse myelin / Actin filaments organization
Mapping drug distribution in pharmaceutical products / Drug penetration in tissues (skin / hair)
Lipid imaging / Metabolic imaging with deuterated molecules
Tissue morphology / architecture / Developmental biology / Cancer tissues
Single molecule fluctuation dynamics / Conformational modulations / FRET analysis
Measurement of hydrodynamic radii of proteins
