David Grosso de l’IM2NP donnera un séminaire intitulé "Sol-gel-based nanostructured applied coatings, processing by dip-coating and characterization by ellipsometry" le vendredi 18 janvier à 11h00 en salle Pierre Cotton de l’Institut Fresnel.

Résumé :
Complex hierarchical nano structures can be achieved when combining chemical advanced bottom-up strategies, such as self-assembly and sol-gel chemistry, together with liquid solution processing. Amongst them, dip-coating is an extremely versatile tool to prepare thin nanostructured and mesoporous metal oxide films from liquid solutions and has been used for many decades without taking advantage of its whole potentiality. This communication reports on the recent progresses made in dip-coating sol-gel coatings, and their combinations with conventional “top-down” micro(nano) fabrication technologies such as Soft-NIL, to construct even more complex morphologies with multi scales features and motifs. In addition to state-of-the-art environmental ellipsometry characterization methods, recent implementations in surface wetting, microfluidics, gas optical sensing, and photonics will be presented.

Ce séminaire est organisé par le thème "Nanophotonique et Composants Optiques"
