Je suis diplômé de l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Marseille (1994). De septembre 1994 à septembre 1997 j'étais doctorant au LOSCM et ma thèse portait sur le doublage de fréquence optique par les réseaux de diffraction et les surfaces rugueuses. D'octobre 1997 à septembre 1998 j'ai été ATER à l'université d'Aix-Marseille III où je suis ensuite devenu maître de conférences. En octobre 2001 j'ai rejoint le CNRS et je suis actuellement directeur de recherche au CNRS et directeur adjoint de l'Institut Fresnel.

Je suis membre de l'editorial board du Journal of Modern Optics et éditeur associé d'Optics Express. En 2006, j'ai reçu la médaille de bronze du CNRS.

Je travaille principalement sur la modélisation des cristaux photoniques, des métamatériaux et des structures plasmoniques. Je suis auteur d'environ soixante-dix articles dans des revues internationales à comité de lecture.

I was born in Aix en Provence, France, on May 18, 1970. I am qualified from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Marseille (1994). From September 1994 to September 1997 I was on a PhD position with the LOSCM. My Ph.D. thesis (1997) was on second-harmonic generation by gratings and rough surfaces. From October 1997 to September 1998 I was on a temporary position (ATER) with the University Aix-Marseille 3, and then I became Assistant Professor in the same university. In October 2001 I joined the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifque (CNRS). I am currently Senior Researcher with the CNRS and Deputy Director of the Institut Fresnel.

I am member of the editorial board of the Journal of Modern Optics and Associate Editor of Optics Express. I received the Bronze Medal of the CNRS in 2006.

I am mainly involved in the theoretical and numerical study of photonic crystals, metamaterials and plasmonic. I have also several collaborations with experimentalists and theoreticians on the same topics. I authored about seventy peer-reviewed papers.
